I worked in the costume shop for the theatre & opera department of my university. We used one of these old card catalog cabinets for storing everything - pens, buttons, scissors, needles, thread, etc. It was so fabulous! And they look great, too.
This reminds me of that Jerry Seinfeld standup routine where he's talking about getting extra buttons in a little bag when you buy a coat. What are you supposed to do with them? Keep them filed away in little drawers? ...where are theeey.... haha
