you'll be glad to know i took 80% of stuff of the craptastic kitchen shelves and replaced it with books.
bookcases - i do love them. so here's where we are now:

    Much less, um, "craptastic";) I the same problem with overfilling shelves though....they just seem to beg for STUFF.
