towels
white towels are great in hotels, where you can leave them and someone else deals with the mascara stains, but at home - no dice. full disclaimer = we have white towels, but perhaps i'd be happier with a bounty of colors, like so:
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, cotur acing elit. Ut euis eget dolor sit amet congue. Ut vira codo matis. Sed lacia luctus magna ut sodales lorem.

the only downside of color towels - guests with face wash + bleach. i've ruined a plenty that way. and pillow cases too. i should quiz before entering... and select on that info.
ReplyDeleteBenzoyl peroxide kills coloured towels too. At least you can bleach a white one.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes! I would love to have a stack of such lovely colored towels.
ReplyDeleteI love this look.
ReplyDeleteMartha already addressed the issue: you have to embroider "makeup" on a single dark washcloth to make sure your guests know not to use the white cloths for that. Because then you would have to cut them into tiny pieces and throw them in the compost heap.
ReplyDeleteWhite towels get an Oh Hell Yes from me, because they can be washed on Boil and dried on Broil and never fade. Yeah, my bathroom looks a little clinical, but it sure beats having faded, slightly funky towels that I have to baby.
ReplyDeleteI'm a color towel fan (Hot Pink and Orange at the moment) but I keep a stack of white wash cloths and hand towels for make up removal because you can bleach them until they're clean and they tend to be less expensive then than color options so replacement, when need, is easier.
ReplyDeletewhat is it with you and pedistal sinks??
ReplyDeleteI think I love that cabinet even more-- it's the perfect solution for the pedestal sink i'll be dealing with this fall..
