this is the best costume for the day

my friend caroline threw a fantastically staunch grey gardens party last night, complete with dinner served from pie tins, flowers in cat food containers, ice cream eaten with knives and dancing with flags.

    What a fabulous party idea! I don't think the treasure trove that is Grey Gardens/Little Edie has been fully mined yet, and this is a brilliant stroke in that direction.

    this is too much ~ i just watched grey gardens for the first time 2 nights ago ... and now i stumble onto this ! it must mean something ! .. guess i'll have some pate, go to the beach and think about it ... hmmm ..
