I can't believe how much decent furniture you have been able to find & spruce up so beautifully. When I look around my neck of the woods it's nothing but cheap fiberboard junk from the 80's that's falling apart.

Might you share what kind of chalkboard paint you used and if you liked it? I'm in Seattle, so little chance of getting to get one of your pieces and hoping I can spruce up my own :)
love the chalkboard paint! We're about to try out magnetic paint in the room-that-has-yet-to-be-photographed. Planning on giving Matilda a bigger surface to play with magnets since the stainless steel fridge doesn't stick. Hopefully I'll finish it in 09... and photograph it shortly after.
