this may be kind of crazy, but let's consider it.
these are the steps from the upstairs -- what if i took this huge wall (its the first floor and second floor wall) and put lots of art on it like this?
would that be scary?

I love a wall like that. Sfgirlbybay has a cool wall like that in her blog. I personally like when all the frames match in color and it brings a bit of a constant to the wall.
ReplyDeleteReeally like that art wall. Tried to do it myself here. Used all matching frames and now I am bored. The funky mis-matched wall will always be my favorite.
ReplyDeletenot scary at all! i think halls can end up being such a waste of forgotten wall space. i actually learned from my mom who fills up the hallway wall spaces with interesting family photos - old and new. gives a punch up to an otherwise wasted area.
ReplyDeleteone of my walls was like that in my old apartment and it made me feel like one of those people who have a whole room in their house no one can go into because its full of crap they dont know what to do with and like empty laundry baskets.
ReplyDeletei think if you do it you should have an empty line like they do in the middle or empty space. otherwise it just looks like a bunch of shit on the wall thrown on. empty space is important. or like the pictures are color themed in a pattern.
