exciting news

By 11/11/2008

the basement is ALMOST done. so very close.

i ordered a rug from ebay yesterday (um, $79, including shipping!), and the wallpaper man came this morning to measure and give us a quote (super deal - only $150!).

i couldn't be more excited about the rug. i've been fantasizing about the cool slate floors covered with a yummy old persian carpet, so i've had my eye on ebay listings. i found this one yesterday and it was love at first site. delight in it:

here's what i'm after with the rug:

and i ordered the wallpaper on ebay this morning:

will have an 'after' photo soon, then ladies - we'll eat guacamole and talk dogs. count on it.

  8. Have you hung your wallpaper yet? If so, did you do it yourself? We are contemplating grasscloth for our guest bath, and I'm wondering if we are coordinated enough to tackle hanging it ourselves...

    Thanks!
