a beach before and after

this summer i worked with a family from raleigh on a condo they purchased as a rental unit at the beach. it came furnished, with all this terrible overdone oriental-inspired furniture which didn't suit the beach at all. we had a tight timeline - about a month, and the budget needed to stay in the extra-reasonable range since the unit was going to be rented out only. we stripped out the carpet, put down a lovely beachy grey pergo floor, took out the popcorn ceiling, and i furnished the unit primarily with catalog purchases and a couple of shopping trips around town scouting for deals and statement pieces. here are a few before and afters (apologies for the iphone pics):

    Amazing Jamie! Any chance you might share some of your favorite catalog purchases from the condo? I'd love to learn more about the wall covering and those pergo floors...!

      The wall covering was there / I kept! But the floor was Home Depot

    Wow, I am obsessed with this! It looks like a cute boutique hotel the way you decorated it and now I wish I could stay there! I'm so amazed what you were able to accomplish on a tight budget and timeline. Thanks for sharing!

    You should definitely take portfolio pictures of this space. It is colorful and funky, but in a way that is accessible to most people
