winter weekend cocktails with tervis
brian meares and i have taken to the season with a really classy ritual of weekend cocktailing. in the winter we find ourselves unusually home on the weekends, sort of staring at each other, and we've discovered a bit of drinking makes that more enjoyable - imagine that!
his go-to: bourbon with cider and a splash of ginger ale. my staple: a bottle (or two) of champs with some extra pulpy oj.
more importantly, his lumbersexual drink requires hotness, more than he can muster himself, and mine must stay chilly, and my general disgruntledness won't do it alone.
in steps our trusty tervis tumblers. we have an arsenal in several colors and sizes to fit our vibes, and they do the trick of keeping him hot and me cold.

ReplyDeleteCall me an old lady but I love a good hot toddy or hot buttered rum in winter. Hot buttered rum takes just a few minutes to make if you aren't a cocktail snob so it has immediate satisfaction going for it too! Jenn at East Meets South
