2015

By 12/28/2015

2015 won't go down as one of my best played hands.

this year, like playing with one of those wooden kids toys with the cut out shapes and corresponding parts that plug in, i've been furiously cramming all the possible combinations together to get a match that fits. it's been an experiment in insanity. everything seems to be hovering just over where it should be and i want to shake the board so the pieces will fall in. for a little while, i'd like to feel like i solved the puzzle.

instead, i've been continually frustrated, sending the pieces crashing to the floor and forcing a fresh start . it seems simple - square goes in square, circle in circle, but, as circumstance has it, i'm not a basic bitch.

my hope for 2016 - clarity. and more jams from justin beiber.

  1. Suggesting someone from my arena who brings clarity - Michael Cole - on Facebook. One of his mantra - High emotion...low intelligence. I often need to take a second to not be a moron. 2016 = clarity

  3. 2015 wasn't fun for me either. Hoping both of our 2016s exceeds our expectations :)

  4. I kinda feel ya. 2015 was very..."vanilla" for me. Not horrible, but certainly not great...Here's hoping that in 2016, all the pieces will fall into place for both of us. :)

  5. I don't know what's up either but as an outsider looking in, you seem to have it all together. I've been following your blog for a long time and your career is enviable. Good luck in the New Year! I'm sure you'll have a better year!

  6. You do seem to have it all together, Jamie - a fab store, fab life, traveling, the new Charleston connection, cool clothes, lots of eating out at great restaurants, a great physique (why am I still trying to lose baby weight 3 years after???)....plus the blog is so fun! I love what you did in adding the series called Real Raleigh. That has been a favorite of mine and I am always waiting excitedly for the next one. I hope your 2016 is everything you want it to be, and more!
