packing for NYC

i'm off to nyc this weekend, and although they missed the monster snowstorm there, it's still waytoocold degrees for me.  packing for the city in the winter is all about layers - we'll be schlepping from taxis to the gift show, from the hotel to drinks and dinner, so transitional pieces are key.

    Yeah it's freezing here, you're gonna need a real jacket-- wool or heavy down jacket on top of everything if you don't want to be cold. Those outfits are so cute but more like for fall weather here. Though I know it sucks to buy a jacket you'll probably never luckily need to wear! I just hate being cold.     The grey sweater looks perfect but I'm afraid of the "one size." Do you know what the fit is like? I'm 5'3" and 120 lbs.

    Ugh! It is FREEZING here! I'm layering a thin down coat under everything and that seems to be helping. Have fun at the gift show! xx

    Seriously obsessed with your blog. Everything is so beautiful! and especially love this outfit you put together! It's definitely not as cold in the PNW than it is in NYC but definitely great inspiration for cold weather fashion! Although, I don't think I could pull off the chunky sweater. I'm bigger in the chest area and whenever I wear big sweaters, it just excentuates that I'm more top heavy. Any suggestions other suggestions?
