caught up on kitchens

i've got kitchen on the brain. sort of farm-housey, white, big windows, bright kitchens. my apt's kitchen is brown and it takes life from me daily, so that's probably a large factor. the only plus, white just got so dirty, i was fighting a losing battle trying to keep the cabinets clean.

i've got my eye on a house in oakwood, here in raleigh, that i'd do just about anything to renovate, but it's too $$ currently, so i wait. until i have more $, or the seller needs less $ or the universe points me in another direction.

    While it doesn't help your situation, it's nice to hear you struggle with the same $$ issue as some of us. I always am stalking housing situations wishing I had a bigger budget. :)

    I love the idea of open shelving in a kitchen but wonder about the practicality. I've been seeing more dark grey on bottom cabinets with tops in white and it's a pretty good look.

    i'm in the exact same boat as you. currently renting a really cute old house. everything in it is amazing except the disgusting early-2000's brown kitchen cabinets. so unfortunate.
