LOVE those black jumpsuits!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Thank goodness for Nordstrom! I had to call and tell them thank you in person.
ReplyDeletewhy are you hating on ivanka?
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking a stand!! People need to support REAL creative designers, rather than a rich girl who blatantly copies legitimate designers and tries to make money off her crappy ass replicas.
ReplyDeleteIs my previous comment still waiting to be approved since I might have an opinion that differs from yours?
ReplyDeletenope, you're in there!
DeleteThanks Jamie. I was just wondering if everybody would be hating on Ivanka's designs if she wasnt the daughter of you know who. I can like designers and businesses even if I dont agree with their political views. It seems we have different views but I still come to your blog and shop in your store because I appreciate you as a designer. We can all get along right?
DeleteI too, like Megan was disappointed in your post today. I don't understand someone as yourself being a woman & hating on another woman who is just trying to be an entrepreneur as yourself. She is a hard working woman, wife & mother who just happens to be our now President's daughter. She is smart, capable & obviously very successful & I would think someone as yourself would not be the kind to bash another woman. Very disappointed.
ReplyDeleteI don't feel better about it. And I find it ironic that a party or group of people that profess love and inclusion of all people, has no problem expressing such hate and vindictiveness towards a woman because her father's political views. I find this post disheartening.
ReplyDeleteWell said Nancy. Shame on Jamie.
DeleteWomen for women! Oh except her, or her, or her...
ReplyDeleteI don't feel better about it at all, and find your post immature, irrelevant, and plain old mean. Grow up.
ReplyDeleteI too found this post disheartening, and no I don’t “feel better” now that Nordstrom has dropped her products. I never purchased any of Ivanka’s products, but I find this politicizing of her business disgraceful. Believing in equality means you believe in equality for all women, and you celebrate the success of all women, even those who have family members with political viewpoints different from yours.
ReplyDeleteI do too. Jamie, you're doing just fine. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteIt's your blog, and you can say what you want, but I have to agree with many of the other comments. This post was hateful and unnecessary. Do you politically vet all of the vendors and clients for your own business? Do you know the political leanings of the people who make every item that you make money from? I'm quite certain that a lot of the money lining your pockets was gladly accepted from your own clients who voted for, and continue to support Trump. I'd guess you wouldn't be whistling the same tune if people were to boycott your business based on your political affiliations.
ReplyDeleteNope to everyone above. If Ivanka is, indeed, a moderate and equalizing voice in her father's new oligarchy, let her receive the message a boycott of her brand intends. We are furious, we are disgusted, we will not support you financially. Putting feminism before humanism and before support for minorities is misguided. Go, Meares. #Resist
