here we are: summer in north carolina, and with it, an overwhelming urgency to take your pants off.  sticky, muggy, hot and humid, the weather is gross, and wearing anything that touches your body too aggressively right now is a strong no-no in my book.  i'm transitioning to long loose dresses for the season, and here are a few faves that won't break the bank, or a sweat.  hah.  ha.  ha.

1 - not-too-sweet floral number that would be so cute with those jcrew earrings i posted yesterday and a black sandal like these // 2 - super simple and chicer than chic, I'd pair this white dress with a big sunhat for full summer vibes // 3 - this dress is $44 and so cute - buy it.  how great with a leather jacket for fall?

1 - I love all the mara Hoffman items, and this dress has a great shape, plus a fun color palette.  I'd probably wear with my Stella platforms // 2 - I'd funk this short dress up a bit with leather booties // 3 - perfect for summer holidays, this dress could be cute a white low top converse to keep it from being too girly.

1 - a friend was wearing this dress the other day and it was stunning.  she wore it with these great clogs and it was perfect // 2 - so freaking comfortable when it's hotter than hot, this is the dress i can't wait to get home and into // 3 - love the colors in this striped dress - I'd pair with a black mule to dress it up a bit.

1 - my other go to when it's too hot for much of anything, plus it's a great vacation dress (love it with a cute bag like this one!) // 2 - just bought this dress at target and three people stopped me yesterday when I was wearing it to ask where it was from // 3 - super cute with it's bright embroidery, I'd pair this dress with these earrings
